The staff of Sears Coastal Nursing & Rehab is committed to delivering quality care in a home-like environment that promotes healing, privacy, and independence. Our facility provides outcome oriented physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services. Our team utilizes an interdisciplinary approach, working with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to design individualized rehabilitation programs for our residents. We offer a wide range of services in order to make your stay as convenient and enjoyable as possible!
We partner with Integra Rehabilitation to provide professional rehabilitation services to assist residents in achieving his or her highest level of physical and cognitive functions. Skilled treatments may be individualized to resident needs in accordance with his or her neurological, orthopedic, and medical/ surgical diagnoses.
Our Cardiac Recovery Program is designed to help patients with coronary artery disease and/or those recovering from heart attacks, heart surgery, and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), by minimizing the loss of physical, mental, social, and/or occupational function.
Our Orthopedic Recovery Program helps patients who have sustained an orthopedic injury or disability such as surgery, fracture, joint replacement, degenerative condition (ie. arthritis) and other musculoskeletal conditions.
Our Post-stroke Care/ Neurological Program helps residents develop his/ her maximum level of independence in the areas of daily living skills including mobility, language, and swallowing skills following a neurological disability.
Our Dysphagia Program is used by our Speech-language Pathologists to assess and treat patients with swallowing dysfunctions.
Our Restorative Program works on improving both physical ability (such as joint range of motion and general mobility) and mental function (such as memory improvement, comprehension, and problem-solving skills). This may be done through group of individual sessions.
Our Positioning and Contracture Management Program is designed to reduce the risks of immobilization including pressure sores, loss of sensation, muscle atrophy, and improve body alignment.
